Professor Shen Kunrong, holding a Ph.D. in Economics, received his Postdoctoral Degree from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is a Senior Research Scholar of the Department of Economics, Stanford University, USA. His main research interests include Macroeconomics, Transitional Economy, Economic Growth, Financial Economy, Capital Market, and Corporate Development Strategy. Professor SHEN is Changjiang Scholarship Chair Professor by the Ministry of Education, Ph.D. supervisor; Member of Economics Teaching Steering Committee organized by the Ministry of Education; Adjunct Professor of Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies; Executive Vice President of China Industrial Economics Association. He has been listed in the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program by the Ministry of Education and selected as a teaching master by the National Special Support Program for High-Level Talents and as a National-level Candidate of the New Century Talent Project.   


Professor SHEN has won many teaching awards and recognition, including the National Outstanding Teaching Master Award, Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, Grand Prize for Baosteel Education Foundation Outstanding Teacher Special Award, Zhang Peigang Award for Outstanding Achievement in Development Economics, and has been awarded by 1st Liu Shibai Economic Prize.  

  

He is also actively involved in many leading research institutions and professional organizations. He is an expert group member of the 12th Five-Year Plan and 13th Five-Year Plan selected by Jiangsu Province Peoples Government; Honorary President of the Jiangsu Province Communications Economics Association; Consultant of Nanjing People's Government and Suzhou People's Government. Professor SHEN is also a recipient of the State Council Special Allowance.
